Tree of Life Meditation System -- Day 2 -- Ausar

Hetep Everyone,

Here, is my meditation objective for this meditation cycle: I want to see my transformation into a Divine Being as I learn to pause and consciously observe my decision processes before I act.

In order to choose transformation over what I already know, it makes sense to me that I must have better images, thoughts, and affirmations to transform into. Where do these better concepts come from? Ausar, the energy of which can only come from the pauses and nonjudgmental observations. I, the ego (Auset), do not have to force this knowledge. It will rise up out of me. This is the resurrection of Ausar.

However, pausing and observing without judgment will take lots and lots of practice, because I have to keep choosing to do it. The image that came to me was that of the movie Malcolm X, when (if I remember the scene correctly) Elijah Muhammad explains to Malcolm that people will choose to drink dirty water if they don't know that there is a better choice. Well, you know how there is that saying that when you know better, you do better? In order to embrace that statement, I have to define "know" according to the Metu Neter -- knowledge comes from experience, not information.

For me, in terms of choosing transformation as opposed to habitually choosing that which is familiar to me, the most important part is the nonjudgmental observation. Over and over again, I have to observe my choices. This is what I have to get good at so that eventually, like a baby newly walking, who, from experience, learns that walking is better than crawling, I will choose from knowledge, transformation and evolution.

Here is the Law of Ausar, personalized form the words of Ra Un Nefer Amen in his book, Maat: the 11 Laws of God.

Ausar: My nature is an unconquerable peace; therefore, nothing and no one in the world can be against me. All experiences come to me to promote my reclamation of peace so that I may acquire wisdom and power.

How do I break the Law of Ausar by not pausing and observing?

I do not embrace my connection to the unknown and unfamiliar, thus, I limit my transformation -- my evolution.

That is all for now. I wish you great fortune. Until next time,
Hetep

Tree of Life Meditation System -- Assessment

Hetep Everyone,

Tonight is the night before the new moon. Perhaps the greatest thing that I learned from this past meditation cycle is that I am Ausar. Now, I've read this in the Metu Neter countless times, but is was just a mental exercise, not and experience.

My experience had always been to understand that someone else or something else controlled the authority over me. Now I know that I am the authority that I have been trying to negotiate with for permission to live my life. This is the understanding into which I am growing.

This budding growth is awesome!

I have not yet decided upon the wording of my new meditation objective, but I know that it is going to have something to do with pausing before I act -- Men Ab meditation.

Well, that's it for now. I wish you great fortune. Until next time,

Tree of Life Meditation System -- Day 4 -- Seker

Hetep Everyone,

My current meditation cycle objective is: I want to experience my purpose in God's Divine plan based upon truthful premises determined by relationships of how my functions (thoughts, feelings, and actions) fit the form I'm trying to create (my purpose).

Does what I create fit the form of fulfilling my Divine purpose? Do my functions fit this form? I do not have clear answers for these questions because I am not sure of what my purpose is. I know that it has something to do with living and teaching lessons of peace and love.

This is the reason I write this blog, to share the lessons I've learned and the lessons I'm learning. Although I have conducted oracle readings, my sense of unworthiness and powerlessness is blocking me from clearly seeing my purpose. Right now, the only guide that I am certain of is to continue my process of healing; learning and applying the principles of Maat: the 11 Laws of God; and sharing what I know. So let me get to what I would like to share tonight.

One aspect of Amen is that everything has the potential to change because everything is unconditional -- formless at its most fundamental, subatomic level. This means that if you look deep enough at something that you think is solid (existing in time and space), you will find emptiness, formlessness and tremendously, unfathomable potential to reshape matter into something else. This is why you hear the old saying that life is an illusion. It is also the basis of that philosophical question, "How do you know that a chair is a chair?"

Everything changes because everything has the potential to change. That potential is dynamic consciousness. Whether we are aware of it or not, we are all a part of this consciousness and we all participate in using this potential to create our world. Most of us do this without knowledge of what we are doing.

I choose consciously to use the Metu Neter and the Tree of Life Meditation Systemso that I can participate in changing my life, creating it in perfect balance and harmony. Here is one lesson that I am learning about my potential to effect change: If I can't change the form (situation), then I can change the function (my thoughts, feelings and actions) and vice versa. When one changes, both will change automatically.

Developing my spirituality allows my higher consciousness to work in this manner: Ausar -- Unity -- makes sure that my changes don't screw things up so that even what looks like screw-ups eventually align in perfect balance; Tehuti -- Wisdom -- tells me how and what to change; and Seker -- spiritual power -- is based upon love (giving without expectation of return), ensuring that the changes I make are effective (changes that don't lead to disharmonious conflict) because I am following Maat -- all 11 Laws of God.

My greatest challenge in learning the lessons that will allow me to effectively participate in my life is believing in my own authority and worthiness, not only to make the changes, but to know that the changes are real and lasting.

Here is the Law of Seker, personalized from the words of Ra Un Nefer Amen in his book Maat: the 11 laws of God.

Seker: When the emotions of Man manifest in response to the word of God, they have the power to influence the course of any and all events in the world.

How do I break the Law of Seker?

I am unable to trust completely my own power and worthiness to make effective changes in my life.

Well, that is all for now. I wish you great fortune. Until next time,
Hetep

Tree of Life Meditation System -- Day 17 -- Maat

Hetep Everyone,

I'm sure that you have noticed that my posts are off. I will try to catch them up.

I am having some tremendous insights regarding the enjoyment task that I have given myself. The thing that I have noticed most is that I'm less critical of myself and that it's easier to look for things to enjoy rather than things to criticize. I even found myself admonishing my niece for implying that the harsh things in life are true reality and that the enjoyable things are fantasy.

The Law of Amen teaches that both perspectives are true and that our conditioning (training, programming) has taught us that only one perspective can be real. Most probably, our experiences in society have taught us that pain is more real than joy so we scoff at joy. The Metu Neter teaches the system of how to avoid or solve conflicts so that we can consistently have peace, allowing the fulfillment of the Law of Amen.

Here is the Law of Amen, based upon Ra Un Nefer Amen in his book, Maat: The 11 Laws of God, -- You were made in the likeness of a peace that nothing can disturb. Reclaim your peace that you may attain to your reason for coming into existence -- the enjoyment of life. The Law of Amen is set above the Tree of Life, not on it. This means that all of the other ten laws allow you to be able to practice the Law of Amen.

Maat is the coordinator of all the laws. Two of the concepts that help me to grasp the coordination of Maat are interdependence and inter-relationship. Today, these concepts are explained as "holism" or "holistic thinking."

I don't pretend that I can adequately explain these concepts to you because I still am growing into my own understanding of them. However, studying the natal chart of my horoscope and the natal charts of other people has become good practice for my understanding of the way that Maat's coordination works and why it leads to peace and joy.

Every imagined society based upon joy, created from a European perspective that I have seen shows a society that does nothing except play or "Walk Around Heaven All Day," as the song says. It's like everyone's desire for thinking just stops. However, our ancestors left us blueprints that explain what to do with a society based upon joy -- build a society based upon advancing life and creation. They were able to do this because of their advanced understanding of death and loss, far removed from the limitations of pain.

My point is that if you scoff at joy as a societal aim, please reconsider the power of perspective.

This is all for now. Until next time,
Hetep

Tree of Life Meditation System -- Assessment -- Amen

Hetep Everyone,

I spoke to a friend of mine today. He told me that he'd had a great day. When I said that I had had one too, he said , "Of course, you're a child of God." This sort of statement is accepted by so many religious and spiritual people that it has become almost irrefutable, but the Metu Neterteaches that there is a difference between being informed and knowing something.

Being informed is being told something, but knowing something, the Metu Neter says, is having experience of the information.

As I begin to wind up this meditation cycle with the new moon approaching, I've come to realize that I don't know who I am as a Divine Being. I have a great deal of information about being a Divine Being, but little knowledge of it. It is very easy for something to strike me the wrong way and I feel guilty and unworthy without understanding why. How can I receive the money from the Universe that I asked for if I feel unworthy of having it? This means that if I get it, I won't keep it long.

I had thought about focusing on developing my Men Ab meditation skills for the next meditation cycle, but I like to get at the heart of things, the most basic levels. I think that getting rid of the emotional buttons inside of me that are so easily and sporadically triggered is more important. I'm going to play with these themes before I make my decision, but in the meantime, from the Metu Neter, vol. 1 page 284, here are some positive qualities of Heru whose energies rule over Men Ab meditation:

  • Magnanimous - noble; not petty, mean or selfish
  • Desirous of power and leadership
  • Full of vitality (hence, "Strong Willed")
  • Zealous -- enthusiastic
  • Noble
  • Lofty -- very high, exalted or elevated in character
  • Proud
  • Ardent -- enthusiastic
  • Authoritative
  • Humane, etc.

How can a person who feels unworthy exhibit these qualities or maintain the fire energy to consistently perform Men Ab meditations? I have been searching and searching for the thing that blocks me from performing at the level I feel I should be using, but I have not discovered the source. One thing that I am sure of is that the walls are cracking and crumbling, but I want them down. I'm patient enough, however, to go through the process and enjoy the journey so I'll keep searching until I find it.

That's it for now. Until next time,
Hetep

Tree of Life Meditation System -- Assessment -- Heru

Hetep Everyone,

I've been talking about the power to create our own reality. Many people are not used to this kind of talk. It is not conducive to conventional Western thought; however, through the introduction of Buddhism and New Age rhetoric, the concept of creating your own reality is becoming more popular.

The Tree of Life Meditation System, which is so old that it can be safely dated by thousands of years or more, has already been designed to teach you, not only how to create your own reality, but to ensure that what you create brings and/or restores Universal harmony. Sounds good to me.

Now to speak in personal terms, I've stated that this level of fulfilling your role as a conscious creator is no easy task. This is primarily so because of the environment in which we live. This environment causes distractions and disruptions within our consciousness through all kinds of systems -- education, economic, entertainment, religion, etc. All of these things get in the way of conscious thoughts and conscious choices. For me, the best way to combat this is to recognize things for what they really are and to consciously choose what I want to see.

This is where Men Ab meditation comes in. One of the best parts of Men Ab for me is the pause -- still the will. For me, this is also the most difficult part. Here's why.

Our brains are much more powerful than we've been led to believe. There is a DVD that I have found to be very helpful in explaining this. It's called, What the Bleep Do We Know. Also, the extended version, What the Bleep!? - Down the Rabbit Hole (QUANTUM Three-Disc Special Edition), gives much more details.

What it explains and what you will learn as you continue to study metaphysics is that we are creating our reality all of the time. It's just that most of us are not consciously aware that this is so. Our brains give us thought, feelings, and prompt us toward action with the power of multiple atomic bombs. We are truly forces of energy in a contained space -- our physical bodies. This is why you can feel the vibrations of others because they literally are vibrating.

We need this energy to hold our reality into place. It is our collective thought that keeps this physical reality in place and makes it seem like our reality is unchangeable. The Metu Neter is a blueprint to not only teach us the nature of reality, but the part we play in it and the power we have to change it.

Now, I'm giving you this information, but the goal of my meditation is to learn this information, not by theory, but by experience so I must start by changing the things in my life that prevent me from experiencing the full potential of meditation in order to change my reality.

One of the affirmations in the Ra Un Nefer Amen's Tree of Life Meditation System is, "My freedom to choose is the essence of my Divinity." In order for me to be able to choose, I have to consciously interpret the meaning of my circumstances otherwise, I am compelled by the circumstances to respond based upon my conditionings and habits.

For example, I'm holding a cookie in my hands. Do I eat it? Men Ab says, "Stop! Consider what you want to place in your mouth -- sugar, refined flour, oil, preservatives, etc. My emotions say, "Be spontaneous. Focus on the enjoyment." If I can develop my skills enough for Men Ab, then I have a choice. Habit will compel me to eat without thinking. Men Ab will force me to consider what I am giving up by eating the cookie. Essentially, I would be giving up my life force and my potential to create my own world. But, it's just a cookie, you say. No. It is my freedom to choose. This is important, essential, fundamental to who I am and how others can control me because I choose not to take full responsibility for my own consciousness.

Well, that is all for now. Until next time,
Hetep

Tree of Life Meditation System -- Day 20 -- Ausar

Hetep Everyone,

There is one more day left in this meditation cycle. It's been an incredible journey. Since I am following the meditation cycle strictly from my own interpretation of Ra Un Nefer Amen's writings, I often wonder how much more effective I would be with an official instructor. Since I have never heard of an instructor in this area (Shreveport, LA, USA), I've set about teaching myself.

One of the best things, however, about teaching myself these meditation techniques is that I can set my own pace. This means that when I find, as I did in this cycle, that I have a blockage in my spirit that must be corrected before I can achieve my objective, I don't have to feel pressured or anxious.

One word about this. I used to be worried about time passing me by until I concluded that I have all of the time in the Universe. Time for me is limited only by my perception of it. I can choose to live as if there is no time only cycles of learning lessons throughout each life.

The reason I'm emphasizing this is because learning to resurrect Ausar is a growing processes, a cultivation. Why is resurrecting Ausar worth all of the trouble? For me, it is bringing order and balance to my life so that the energy of Ausar runs my life as perfectly as it does on the inside of my body, as steady as a heartbeat.

Since I have been following the meditation system, my life has steadily fallen into place. I feel much stronger and firmer about who I am and why I incarnated into this life. This cycle's meditation objective helped to strengthen my perspectives about money and helped me to grow in ways I had not imagined. I have brighter expectations of consciously experiencing Ausar as the source of my "prosperity and sustenance," as it says in the Metu Neter, vol. 1.

Well, that's it for now. Until next time,
Hetep

Tree of Life Meditation System -- Day 17 -- Maat

Hetep Everyone,

Ra Un Nefer Amen tells us that Divine Law is an expression of the inter-relationship between all things. What in the world does this mean? When I first began the Tree of Life Meditation System (TOLM), I always skipped over this information because I didn't understand it. I don't claim to fully understand it, but this is as much a mission of mine as mastering Men Ab and Waking meditation.

The way I picture the inter-relationship and interdependency of Divine Law is like a machine (bicycle-type) with 11 wheels bound by one chain all turning together to move you forward. There must be a great deal of order and structure to coordinate this movement or it won't work. This means that movements are free, but limited to their own space. This is Maat keeping everything in order so that structural integrity is maintained.

When I started this meditation cycle, I wanted to manifest some money. This was the first time that I had done a cycle concerning something so tangible. I was very skeptical about being able to meet my objective. My life experiences have conditioned my perspective so that I expect disappointment and fear success. If you've read some of my earlier posts then you may have a clearer picture as to how this backwardness developed. Only my work with the TOLM system has given me the courage to attempt to achieve this particular objective.

Every time I begin a cycle, I never know what will reveal itself. The reason for this has mostly to due with Maat. Maat must keep everything in balance. There is no need for me to manifest money if I am not ready to be a good steward of it. First, my weaknesses as a steward must be exposed so that they can be strengthened. Once strengthened, structure and balance will have been established. Then I will be ready to manage successfully the money I receive. Bring my spirit into alignment first, then give me what I want, if it will not disturb the balance of anyone or anything else. This is Maat, maintaining order. This is why spiritual alignment is spiritual cultivation.

Cultivating the spirit takes time, patience, and dedication. This scenario doesn't quite fit with our modern culture, which worships, through deed and action, the instantaneous. According to the Metu Neter, before our five senses can detect the physical objects which have manifested, those objects must first develop through 10 other invisible spheres of creation -- Amen, Sphere 0 through Auset, Sphere 9. If you can believe (Know) that this is true, this means that almost all of processes of existence are invisible.

Think of a pregnant woman. In this Western culture, before they invented machines that could create pictures of the gestation process, people had to simply trust and be patient until the child came. The Metu Neter provides the information we need to understand the processes of spiritual, and, therefore, physical transformation.

In the Tree of Life Meditation System, I found chapter 10, the chapter on Maat to be perhaps the most boring chapter in the book. It's kind of like watching a planted seed grow before it breaks ground. Reading this chapter, like cultivating your spirit is an act of knowing that all of the work you put into it has a great potential for bearing the sweetest fruit -- the fruit on the Tree of Life.

That's it for now. Until next time,
Hetep

Tree of Life Meditation System -- Day 16 -- HeruKhuti

Hetep Everyone,

It's one thing to say I've got to change the beliefs that feed my anxiety; it's another thing to do it. How do you move from theory to practice? This is exactly the point of the Tree of Life Meditation System (TOLM).

You initiate an intention to unite your will to your spirit regarding a particular objective (Hopefully after having consulted the oracle). Your subconscious is dead to your intention so you must resurrect your subconscious mind -- awaken it to your intentions. Your devotion to this resurrection will eventually lead to manifesting your intentions within your waking consciousness, causing you to effortlessly act and/or attract assistants to manifest your intentions. Using the TOLM system assures that whatever you create will be created in a harmonious balance, bringing and restoring balance to all around you. The process can be a bit rocky, but devotion -- persistence -- is the key.

I am finding that the more order that I can bring to my life, the easier it is for me to remain persistent.
*Warning* -- order does not mean rigidity. People and events flow in and out of your life. If you block this flow, you may miss out on the messages they bring and you may miss the opportunity to be a part of the flow of love and compassion that wants to be a part of your life. It may be difficult to establish boundaries at first, but if your response is nonjudgmental, your boundaries should eventually settle into a steady pattern.

I've been working on a daily schedule based upon the Metu Neter vol. 1. I've been following it for a while and I love it. It helps me bring more order to my thoughts to know when to do what. For someone like me who lives in her thoughts and has a tendency to over analyze everything, too many choices can cause stagnation, and, goodness knows I have enough of that in my life.

I'm going to share the schedule with you. Maybe you will find it useful or maybe it will spark some ideas for you to take the concept further. I would love some feedback on this. Here it goes:
  1. Tehuti -- Sunset to 9pm -- Choose your objective for the next day
  2. Auset -- 9pm-12am -- Mediumistic trance meditation -- planting the seed of your objective
  3. Seker -- 12am-3am -- Ausar journeys to the Underworld -- the seed of your objective is sown and an egg fashioned to be born into the world
  4. Het-Heru -- 3am-Sunrise -- Gestation period of the egg, creating joy for your objective
  5. Maat-- Sunrise-9am -- Develop an overall picture of your objective and love for those who will benefit from it.
  6. Heru -- 9am-12pm -- Resurrection of the King. Pause. Still your will. Command your day by commanding your thoughts, feelings, and actions.
  7. HeruKhuti -- 12pm-3pm -- Face the hardest tasks. Use the blade of HeruKhuti to sever your ego from your emotions
  8. Sebek -- 3pm-Sunset -- Seek information from which to choose your objective for the next day.

In this crazy world where such boundaries are scoffed at for causing stagnation, I find the schedule comforting. No matter how bad the anxiety attacks are, I can eventually remember that there is a bigger picture and that through the illusive fog of what I perceive to be real, I can find my footing again.

Now, let's talk about Men Ab Meditation and waking trance. An anxiety attack is a trance state. Knowing this and trying to break out of the trance are two different things. Breaking out of this state is like trying to become an objective observer of your dreams, not just a participant within them.

Ra Un Nefer Amen in his book Tree of Life Meditation System (T.O.L.M.) recommends ignoring your feelings without trying to block them. You know I became resentful of him for such a recommendation. The point of the anxiety is to escape, not to stand still and let yourself get hit be feelings you think will kill you. He also says that when the emotions become overwhelming you should use certain special breathing techniques. The problem with this is that at those moments, I don't feel like doing special breathing techniques. I would much rather wallow in my emotional trance state. HeruKhuti Sometimes imagining HeruKhuti's blade severing my emotions helps, but the only solution to this problem that I have come up with is to cultivate more devotion to mediumistic trance at night and, now, to become just as devoted to Men Ab and waking trance during the day -- in essence, to keep doing what I'm doing. Be persistent and stop worrying about how long it's going to take.

Well, that's it for now. Until next time,
Hetep

Tree of Life Meditation System -- Day 8 -- Het-Heru

Hetep Everyone,

We are surrounded by images that our five senses can detect and identify, defining our reality. We use a lot of our energy to orient ourselves in this reality. Few of us give conscious thought to the images with which we surround ourselves. If we were to give images more thought, we would be much better at directing our emotions.

When I speak of images, I'm not just thinking in terms of two dimensional pictures. I'm also referencing three-dimensional images, including people, pets, houses, cars, symbolic images like political, economic, and social systems, governments, the environment, etc. Images are unlimited by time and space so also, I think in terms of thought processes and the hidden that our senses have not been trained to detect like electromagnetic fields and possibilities and actions that lead to events beyond our sight.

Images are so powerful that one of the first steps in changing reality is changing the images to reflect that reality. Once you develop an emotional attachment or meaning to that image, you will be motivated to take the action necessary to enhance the reality of that image.

Advertisers are brilliant at applying this concept and getting you emotionally hooked on buying their products. Advertisers are not the only ones who do this. We do this every day of our lives. Everything that we are surrounded by is there either because we placed it there or we put ourselves in the situation to be where that image was.

This is one heck of a presumptuous statement, you might say. Well, it is, but I'm also speaking on a cosmic level, considering the fact that we choose our own births. Okay, I don't want to lose track of the subject of images so I'll save the birth issue for another discussion. What really interests me is consciously choosing our images. Just in case you're interested, Feng Shui is a very good place to begin to consciously choose your own images.

Many of us who study the Metu Neter do so because we want to uplift ourselves and our communities out of oppression. We seem to be very clear on what we don't want, but what is it that we really want? Think of the joy we could cultivate from developing those images and the beliefs that could empower them toward manifestation. What if we put all of the energy that we use to complain about what we don't have into creating what we want? What kind of communities and societies would we build? It's a lot to consider.

Here is the Law of Het-Heru, personalized from the words of Ra Un Nefer Amen in his book Maat: The 11 Laws of God.

Het-Heru: It is not what I imagine. It is who is imagining. Am I a Human or a Divine Being?

Insight: For starters, I want to cultivate images that reflect the Divine, Creative being that I am and nurture how this affects my family. I'm witnessing the spreading and growth of peace throughout my family members where desperation reigned. It's slow going, but it's growing. If I don't judge my family for judging me, I find that they eventually accept me.

Another thing about family that I think is true is that all of the problems that we want to fix out there in the community exist in our families. Helping my family is helping the community. From myself to family to community to world -- I think that's a good plan.

That's it for now. Until next time,
Hetep

Tree of Life Meditation System - Day 3 - Tehuti

Hetep Everyone,

Last night's meditation, although less smooth than I would have liked, helped me to produce some insights that I would like to share with you. Before I get to that, however, I would like to share some things that I apply to my meditation when I remember to do so. Usually, this is after, and sometimes during, meditation sessions that are going poorly.

  • Correct my breathing -- I try to remember to concentrate on pulling in my lower abdomen when I exhale and expanding it when I inhale -- I mean I really focus on this. Also, as the Metu Neter advises, I try to remember to contract my perineum. See the book for details on that. Ra Un Nefer Amen offers DVDs and CDs to teach meditation. My budget has only provided for the book and an introductory meditation CD, but you can purchase some of these items for each deity during the meditation cycle.
  • Focus on one of the Sesh Metut Neter, found on pages 404-410 of Metu Neter Vol. 1: The Great Oracle of Tehuti and the Egyptian System of Spiritual Cultivation. For a Tehuti meditation, the Sma Taui is a good image. The images are in the very back of the Metu Neter, vol. 1. It looks similar to the image I've provided below. The Sma Taui should remind us of the unity of all dualities, especially in times of conflict and dealing with problems. Sma Taui imageThis means that there is always a solution to the problem or a way to avoid it. It's just a matter of using Tehuti's eye to see the solution or course of action that does not create other problems.
  • This is a lot to remember, but it takes time and practice -- persistence, not perfection. Okay, here are some of the insights that I was able to gain from last night's meditation:
    • I need to assess the meaning that I apply to money. Money is just a thing. I give it meaning and importance. Usually, the meaning I give it comes from what I've learned from others and my interpretation of my experiences. Poverty is a meaning to which I've been taught to give importance. Pain is a feeling that I have been taught to apply to poverty, which I have been taught to assess as lack.

I'm from Shreveport, LA, a real hot spot for segregation. When I listen to some of the elders speak about those days, they would be quick to say that when they lived in the country they never knew they were poor. They had what they needed. It wasn't until they left the country or televisions replaced radios that poverty turned to despair and longing; therefore, the meaning given to "poverty" is conditional. You must compare your state with some other person. Remove that comparison and you can interpret your situation any way you like.

In the Tree of Life Meditation System, in the meditation chapter on Tehuti, we are encouraged to see through conditioned meanings to discover the true sources of pleasure and peace, bypassing pain. Once you clear away the emotions that cause conflict, solutions begin to present themselves. This, of course is a skill that must be cultivated through practice, meditation, and study.
    • Money is a symbol that you exchange for goods and services. I must not limit my perception to attaining the goods and services that I want to an exchange of money that I must acquire. In other words, the universe can provide the goods and services I need in any way, form, or fashion. I'm not limited to money nor am I limited to being the one to supply the means of exchange. I don't want to miss an opportunity because I expect to receive what I want in only one way.

Well, this wraps up the insights for this meditation session. I hope that my insights have helped.

Until next time,
Hetep

Metu Neter

It looks more and more like this blog is going to be dedicated to the Metu Neter and my journey as I apply its teachings to my life. So, expect big changes to the blog. I want to dedicate pages to each of the 11 faculties. I'm not sure how it will turn out, but I'm confident that it will serve my purposes.

Wish me great fortune.

Know Thyself - The Best HBCU - Know Thy Self Show, Part 3

The Best HBCU - Know Thy Self Show, Pt 3, Ser 0, Epi 1

Having your life run in perfect balance sounds too good to be true so of course there has to be a catch to it and there is. Bringing your life into alignment with the universe -- your true purpose -- hurts. For me, the most difficult part was discovering that many of the things I thought were true turned out to be wrong. Through dreams, meditation, oracle readings, astrology, coincidences, having new awareness of things I'd seen for years, etc. I learned that much of my thinking was backward and self-destructive. Always, always, always I had to decide if I was going to ignore a newly perceived truth or try to implement the understanding, thus, correcting my behavior.

Why would I put myself through self-imposed torture? For peace. The promise of peace was too much to pass up. What is funny is being at the beginning of a meditation cycle getting ready to address a problem like reacting with paralyzing anxiety in certain situations, feeling scared just to hope that the problem could be solved and then at the end of the first 11 days, looking back over my notes and saying to myself, "I was afraid of that?" The problem would seem so huge at the beginning of a cycle and so small at the end. The Level of personal and spiritual growth that I have received has been phenomenal.

In this video, I discuss Ra Un Nefer Amen's Tree of Life Meditation System, based upon his book the Metu Neter. The Tree of Life Meditation System (TOLM) teaches you how to program your spirit to change your behavior so that you fall into the alignment of the Universe and your life runs in perfect balance. I discuss how you take one problem in your life that you would like to correct and look at it using the system. By examining your problem for one moon cycle, looking at it 11 different ways, you discover insights that offer solutions. Then you encode those solutions into your spirit so that the solution manifests itself. The beauty of the system is that this process helps to correct other problems you may have been unaware of or it shows you insights where you need to make further adjustments. Through consistent use of the system, you will begin to see your life falling into alignment.

I hope that you enjoy this video.
Peace

Know Thyself - The Best HBCU Show - Pt 2

The Best HBCU Show - Pt 2, Ser 0, Epi 1

Yesterday, I introduced my show, The Best HBCU -- Know Thy Self Show. This show chronicles my experiences as I practice the Tree of Life Meditation System as instructed by Ra Un Nefer Amen. This particular episode examines the day during the meditation cycle in which I focus on the deity Sebek, who, simply put, represents the energies of Divine Intelligence. This part of the show is a very brief explanation of the Metu Neter, concerning submitting your ego to your Divine Will. It explains how you are God, but that most likely, your ego, not God, is running your life and that you can change that so that God will run your life in perfect balance and peace. Finally, this video explains that the Metu Neter is designed to teach you how to resurrect God inside of you so that you can have that balance and peace in your life.

All of this may sound very complicated and to some degree, it can be, but only because thinking of yourself as Divine is very new to some people and sacrilegious to others. I have no interest in debating religion. I am more interested in discussing Divinity. In order to see yourself as Divine, you must love yourself. I'm not talking about just looking in the mirror and saying, "I love you." I mean you have to walk your talk and do that in peace, without judgment. You have to forgive yourself and learn to stop beating yourself over the head. You have to know that you are unique and learn to appreciate that, without seeing flaws -- just things that need strengthening and improving.

Here's the big one. You have to love all of your experiences without resentment. WOW!!!!! Learning this lesson hurts because it as to be taught to you over and over again. The Metu Neter teaches you the science of how to understand why things happen to you. What it boils down to is that everything happens to you so that you can reclaim your peace.

Does it feel like I just poured a glass of ice-cold water in your face and then turned around and slapped you? That was what I felt like when I realized that I had to accept the truth of this statement. I could do this because the statement was not made in isolation. The science of the Metu Neter rebuilds you from the ground up by putting everything in a hierarchy (levels) of existence. You do not have to accept this statement until you are ready. There is no force. You build your understanding from desire with the knowledge that the end result will be a life of peace, happiness, love, order, and prosperity.

It's awesome.

Know Thyself -- The Best HBCU -- Know Thy Self Show, Part 1

Quite a few of my posts feature information about the Metu Neter, by Ra Un Nefer Amen. I've been studying the book for about two years now and it has literally changed my life. This year, I began to practice the Tree of Life Meditation System consecutively...You know how some Christians have to Testify? Well...instead, I came up with a show, the Best HBCU -- Know Thy Self Show.

I've decided that I needed to share a lot of the insights that I've been having. There are, I presume, a lot of people who are studying the Metu Neter who may have gone through or who may be going through experiences similar to mine -- studying without a physical teacher or sage. If my videos can help others, then I will be in alignment with my purpose.

The Metu Neter can be a very difficult book to understand. Sometimes, I know I've made correct interpretations, but there are other times when I am not quite sure and all efforts to find the answers elude me. This is another reason for the videos, to seek out help from others who understand the parts that I do not.

Please feel free to comment.

This video is the first part of the Best HBCU -- Know Thy Self Show. In it I open the show, explaining why I produced it, pour libations, and invoke the deities.

This show revolves around the Tree of Life Meditation System (TOLM). What you will experience by watching the show in its entirety will be insights that I have received concerning the deity, Sebek. If you have no clue of what I'm talking about, I give an explanation in the videos. I also explain what the TOLM is and how it works. The reason this video is about Sebek is because Sebek was the deity upon which I was to focus for that day. Other videos will focus on insights and other aspects of the system.

Please watch the video and enjoy it.
Thanks

Know Thyself -- Thoughts, Loops, and String Theory

Sonia Barrett- Defining the Matrix

In this video, Sonia Barrett speaks briefly about getting caught up in a loop that we perceive to be reality. In my studies of Ra Un Nefer Amen's Tree of Life Meditation System, I had an insight about thought processes and how they work to sustain our emotions. Our thoughts loop. By this I mean that we think of and produce images of ideas, concepts, events, etc. that feed our emotions.

For example, someone really annoys you. You think of all of the reasons they annoy you. Maybe you don't like their brand of politics or their views on religion. When you see that person, you start to play "tapes" in your head of conversations you've had. This increases you annoyance. These tapes run in your mind at odd moments. Your annoyance increases even more. These tapes are loops that run over and over in your mind.

Now, let's take this looping concept to a quantum level with the express understanding that I am musing. I'm no expert -- just kicking some thoughts around. In quantum physics, there is something called string material that is shaped like loops. The best that can be said about these loops are that they appear to be thoughts.

Going further -- there is this Star Trek: The Next Generation episode called "Cause and Effect" in which the Enterprise gets caught in a time loop where they keep repeating the same events without realizing it. They have no idea that they are outside of time so time is just passing them by and they are unaware of it.
This could be an exaggerated example of what happens to us when we repeat the same images and beliefs over and over again in our mind.

In the example above, and I know you've had such experiences, when you are deep in your contemplation of how annoyed you are, do you lose time? Do you come out of your reverie only to discover that five minutes or so have passed you by on something that has no relevance to what you were trying to do?

What if that reverie could be put to more creative use? Those repeating or looping images and beliefs cause us to take action. This is what makes advertising so powerful. You see a pizza commercial that you've seen over and over again and what do you desire for dinner, later, just out of the blue? Pizza. Instead of recalling a pizza commercial, what if that time were spent on creating a painting or writing a book?

The Metu NeterTheory by Ra Un Nefer Amen teaches you how to interrupt your dis-serving repetitious thought patterns and change them so that you develop your Self knowledge to experience yourself as a creator. Not bad, is it?

Know Thyself -- Transformation

In the Metu Neter, there are symbols called Sesh Metut Neter. They are hieroglyphic symbols. The Khepera is one of the symbols -- a beetle and it, like all of the Sesh Metut Neter, has many meanings, one of which is transformation. I can use this symbol today as a focal point in meditation to represent the transformations that I want to make in my life; namely, to become a happy, peaceful person.

This video of Sadhguru captures everything I have been learning about transformation, including things I did not know I was learning. "A rose bush has many more thorns than roses," he says, "but it is not called a thorn bush." If something in you blossoms, he adds, then people won't mind the thorns.

In essences, it is pointless for me to try to extract all of my thorns. It is more prudent to nurture the blossoms. Then everything else will fall into alignment.

Know Thyself -- Pollyanna and The Glad Game

There came a point in my life when I became tired of feeling angry all of the time. I realized that I did not know what joy was. That was one heck of an insight because I was 38 years old. So, I asked the Universe to help me to experience joy.

I came across a definition of happiness in the Metu Neterthat expressed exactly what I was looking for. It states, "To embrace the joy of inner peace and tranquility -- unassailable by externals, is happiness." The part that got me was "unassailable". Was it possible to find a happiness that could not be attacked? I opened myself up to this possibility.

What came to me was the idea to watch the movie Pollyanna -- just for fun. I watched both the 1960 Hayley Mills version and the 2004 BBC version. The later BBC version sparked me to read the original 1913 version of the book. There was something in the Glad Game that I couldn't put my finger on. I kept re-watching the movie and rereading the book. Normally, after a reference to "heathens", I never would have touched the book again or watched the movie again, but the appeal of the Glad Game was much stronger than my repulsion.

It took me months to work out what I was observing. Here's a breakdown of it. In the Metu Neter vol. 2, I learned that the sun is not merely a burning ball of fire. It generates its own heat perpetually because of the density of its core. We have such a core within our own body. It is an energy that the Ancient Egyptians called Ra, the Hindu call Kundalini, and the Chinese call Chi. It has other names, depending on the culture, but the energy is the same. It is a life force energy that animates our body.

Just as the sun attracts the planets and holds them in its orbit, our life force energy attracts objects to us and creates the world around us. It is what allows the Law of Attraction to work. This is a real force. It is what martial artists use to break boards and cement blocks without hurting themselves. In fact, the National Geographic has a really good episode called Superhuman Powers that demonstrates many uses of this force. Ancient cultures developed these kinds of powers. Generally speaking, the further back you go into their individual histories as interpreted by their own historians, uninfluenced by Westerners, the more you will find that these human "technologies" were used for peaceful means, not so much military conflict. Had this knowledge been used primarily to promote the military as the West surely would have done, the world would have been obliterated thousands of years ago.

Few Westerners are aware that this power lives in them. This is why people joke about having a Pollyanna attitude, positing that this attitude is naive and overlooks reality. Nonetheless, we are all born with a life force. Is it possible that Eleanor H. Porter considered this when she created the character Pollyanna? Well, she could have been a student of Leo Tolstoy who studied transcendental meditation and freed all of his serfs. The name of his home, coincidentally, was Yasnaya Polyana. There may be a connection. In any case, the Glad Game, when played, enhances your life force.

Here's how the Glad Game works: You Literally stop and find something to be glad about in every situation, especially when you think things have gone wrong. Gratitude has a much higher vibration than misery. Through gratitude, you attract into your life the things that you want to have. Through misery, a lower vibration, you usually attract into your life more of the things that you don't want. Your focus and your feelings determine what keeps showing up in your life.

The character Pollyanna is sunshine. She attracts and holds people in her orbit like a lit candle flame attracting moths. Also, by teaching the game to others, like that same lit candle, she gave light to others without diminishing her own. In fact, when her light went out after an experience too overwhelming for her tender 11 years, others came to relight it for her.

There is a lot more to my experience with the story of Pollyanna, but I'll have to tell it later. Suffice it to say that my course was set. No more will I settle for thoughts, feelings, or actions that promote my anger. I try to banish, angry thoughts and feelings and apologize with remorse for angry actions. It is work because I have to make conscious efforts to change, and, thanks to the Metu Neter, I am reprogramming my subconscious through meditation to make the changes permanent parts of my personality. All of this has been worthwhile and made life seem much less of a burden.

Know Thyself through Your Work

Another difficult lesson for me from the Metu Neter concerns the will, as in will power. You may have some problems with this as well. For some people, they are very focused and are able to achieve what they set their minds to. I used to envy such people and try to emulate them, but things beyond my control kept cropping up like...Life -- family crises, crippling anxiety, poverty, low self-worth, resentments, gang warfare in the neighborhood, uncertainties about God, etc. It's hard to focus when you've got these types of issues circling all around you.

From my horoscope and readings from the oracle of Tehuti, I learned that using my will power to achieve material success was not my first priority. This was an extremely difficult concept to embrace, especially living in the United States where your worth is measured by your bank account. What a mind job this did on me because I could see the truth of these readings. This is the type of truth that keeps you from wanting to look in the mirror. "Forget about material success," Truth said. "Take care of your issues first."

What am I supposed to live on while I'm doing this, was my question. A friend of mine laughed at me once when we were discussing this. He said that things have a way of taking care of themselves. This answer was even worse. I like to see how things will work out, then take action. I had to admit the truth, however, that I never liked what I saw. My vision had been too clouded by all of the negative issues I was living with. The only way to clear my vision was to deal with my negative issues. There has been no way around it. Believe me, I've looked.

Now, I have family elders who survived segregation and remember ancestors who survived slavery. They understand physical labor, certainly not mental or emotional work or even spiritual work. They learned to leave all of these things in the hands of "The Good Lord." This means that they have very little appreciation for what I'm experiencing. How do I handle this? Let's just say that as my understanding grows so does the quality of my response.

The systems of the slave trade, slavery, and segregation, as I see them, are all a part of a time that I call "winter" -- ruled by the white man. In order for me to settle this in my mind, I had to look at things on a galactic scale, beyond the earth and solar system. Winter has lasted for millenniums and we are nearing the end of it. The earth cannot sustain the drain of natural resources that the "work" of winter inflicted. No longer can we work without conscience.

Europeans would have us believe that man has always lived in conflict, but not by a long shot is this the truth. The nature of man is peace not conflict. This is why the work of winter is breaking down. So many people like me are stopping to take care of those negative issues which will bring us out of winter. I feel honored to be among this group. Truthfully, though, I have to keep reminding myself to feel honor. After all, I still live in a world that honors the bank account above all else. But I keep striving.

Know Thy Self through the Metu Neter

I love studying the Metu Neter by Ra UN Nefer Amen. This book is based upon the oldest religious text in the world -- that which comes from Egypt. The Metu Neter is designed to teach you how to "Know Thy Self" by guiding you toward aligning your ego with you true spiritual self and restoring you back to peace in all situations, no matter what.

It's a lofty claim, I know, but I can't deny they miraculous achievements of the Egyptians nor their peaceful civilization which reigned for thousands of years. My knowledge of world history apart from the biases of European scholars gives me a perspective that allows me to look deeply into the teachings of the Metu Neter. Without this perspective I believe that I would say that this book is just a bunch of hooey.

As such, one of the teachings that is so difficult for me to learn is how to align all of my thoughts, feelings, and actions. Most people today will agree that will power alone is enough to bring about this alignment. I agree that this can work for moments, especially for athletes, one of which I am not; however, for me, it takes a lot more to bring about and sustain this alignment.

Just take my thoughts alone. Negative judgments of people and situations just pop into my head. "Why," I find myself asking sometimes, "does that dark chocolate-skinned sistah wear that blond wig and those blue contact lenses?" or "When will black people ever learn to work together?" I think of a question like these and then my thoughts build scenarios around the subject. None of it is productive and worse, the thought process brings down my energy level -- energy which could have been used to do something more productive like helping me fulfill the purpose for which I am on earth.

The remedy I am using for this is meditation -- reprogramming myself to change my perspective toward becoming a loving person. I have discovered that some people, like my Aunt Pollyanna, are intrinsically loving. They can't help it. Love just oozes out of them. You see that -- how I prefer to say "oozes" instead of "flows"? The loving part of me has been dormant for most of my life, but I have hope. Since I've been on this journey of learning who I am, I can feel the love in me waking up, wanting to be expressed.
